Portugal, officially known as the Portuguese Republic (Portuguese: República Portuguesa), is located at the western tip of the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe.
It is bordered on the north and east by Spain, while on the south and west it is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.
The country also includes two archipelagos in the Atlantic, the Azores and Madeira.
It has an area of 92,090 square kilometers and a population of 10,344,802 [1] inhabitants, according to the census for 2021.
The capital of the country is Lisbon.
